Christmas Concert

We are excited to announce that we will be holding our annual Smiths Station Band Concert at the High School Gymnasium on Saturday, December 12!  Due to COVID-19, the concert will be different than normal.  Rather than 2 concerts (Junior High School and High School), we will have 6 mini concerts featuring only one band at each concert.  We will have a limited capacity at each concert.  Each student will be allowed to have 4 people attend the concert.  Those attending the concert will be required to wear a mask and socially distance.  Cleaning of the gym will take place between each concert.  The concerts will be short to allow for adequate time to clean the gymnasium.

For the past 2 years, the band program has collected Toys for Tots around our community.  Since we have been unable to do that this year, we will collect a toy donation as admission to the concert this year.  Each person attending the concert is asked to bring a new and unwrapped toy donation.  Students should wear “Sunday dress” type clothing (this is including the high school students)…please avoid shorts, jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes.

As with everything lately, some of the parameters around the concert may change due to factors outside our control.  For this reason, we will send an updated letter with any changes next week.
